 amandaEmma On the 8th and 9th of April, Amanda and Emma competed in the Oxfam Trailwalker 100km challenge. A message from the girls below;

Hi all,
Well it’s over.
Completed in style in 20 hours and 18 minutes. We were the 21st complete team to finish out of 270 teams in total. Also,to our delight and surprise, we were the third all-womens team to finish.
A big thank-you to family, friends, staff and members at North Shore leisure, CrossFit Birkenhead and Newmarket who have supported us along the way.
We of course couldn’t have completed this without our fantastic support crew – believe me they were worth their weight in gold!!
Big Thanks,
Emma and Amanda

cfgames2010 The last 2 workouts of the Open CrossFit Games 2011 are due to be announced at 12 noon today. After 4 workouts not a pull up or thruster prescribed (unless you were a ‘meathead’ in workout 3 haha!!) maybe they’re saving the classic ‘Fran’, or some evil mutation of it like 21, 15, 9, 2o minute AMRAP?? Not too sure about rowing because of potentially limited access to the standard Concept 2 that would be required. That leaves Kettlebells, handstand walking, a big dirty chipper???

Whatever it is, I’m expecting fun times and a whole bunch of the usual controversy…

Thursday 14 April

Woo Hoo Johnny!!! first muscle up!!! The muscle up club, still boys only at CrossFit Birkenhead.  With muscle ups featuring in this weeks Open Games workout, the incentive of getting ahead of maybe 1000 other competitors, by getting just one, could be enough inspiration for one of the girls to change that. I’m looking forward to another week of multiple PB’s and milestones reached, bring on workout 4!!!

Testimonials

Katie Noble
I started working with Paul in January 2009 and while I have tried almost all types of exercise before, gyms, aerobic classes, yoga and team sport. This is the most fun I have ever had exercising. You never really know what to expect each class to bring, except that you will be worked hard and truly feel like your body has been pushed, but within your limits. Besides the fun, I feel significantly stronger and a lot healthier. In addition, I have managed to lose a good amount of weight. Paul has also been great in helping me with my diet and nutrition and overall I just feel better and more on to it.
