Tough Guy/Gal Challenge Sunday 4 July

 CrossFit Birkenhead Tough Guy/Gal Challenge 2010 W.O.D.

Tough Guy and Gal Challenge

Run 6k for time;

Through mud, muddy streams, over rolling hills, under barbed wire and over obstacles.

We had a team of 40 in the event, managed to gather about 25 for a group photo, apologies to those who missed out.

Emma came in 2nd place for over 40 womens division. (I thought you were 35??;)

Daymen was the first CrossFitter finished, 5th overall and Aiden right behind him in 6th.

Thanks to everyone who entered, it was great to have such a large group.  I hear everyone had lots of fun, CrossFit Birkenhead T-shirts were everywhere around the course.

We were lucky to have a bit of rain, wind and general coldness on the day, just wouldn’t be a Tough guy/gal challenge without it!!

Testimonials

John Mayhew
I have been a member at CrossFit Birkenhead for the last 2 years and prior to that, CrossFit Birkenhead coach Paul Davies had been training me using CrossFit methods in one-on-one sessions. CrossFit workouts are unparallel to any other workouts in the New Zealand fitness industry today and it is not a new fad that is going to disappear anytime soon. In a CrossFit class members are always educated on best practise and technique is always taught and monitored. As a physician, I have been impressed by Paul’s ability to scale workouts to appropriately suit individual needs. Each CrossFit workout is always different and your body and mind is continually challenged. I have referred my own family and friends to Paul and many of them are now also members of CrossFit Birkenhead.
